Bus Service: We will not have any bus service Thursday, May 22 and Friday, May 23.
Library books were due back to the library by Wednesday, May 14th.
If you lost any books, you will be asked to pay for them.
Graduation Picture Envelopes: The eighth graders need to turn their picture envelopes in to the school office by Tuesday, May 20. Please mark which pictures you would like taken for graduation and return it with a check.
Game Day: The kindergarten through eighth graders will have an afternoon of games on Wednesday, May 21. The games will begin at 1:00 P.M.
Lost and Found: Students and parents are asked to check the lost and found table before leaving before the end of the school year. Also, make sure all lockers are cleaned out.
Junior High Girls and Boys: Remember to bring in your blue or gray shirts that were used for soccer and track.
School Cleaning: Reminder to return school cleaning forms by Tuesday, May 20.
Field Trip:
May 22: The preschool class will go on a field trip to the park for their last day.
Last Chapel: The last chapel for this school year will be held on Friday, May 23, at 1:00 P.M. Students will be dismissed after chapel is over.

Eighth Grade Graduation: Eighth grade graduation will be held on Friday, May 23, at 7:00 P.M. at the Immanuel Christian Reformed Church. The eighth graders are asked to meet at church at 9:00 A.M. for graduation rehearsal that morning. Remember to turn in your picture envelopes in to the school office by Tuesday, May 20. The eighth graders need to meet at church at 5:45 P.M. for pictures that evening. The verse they have chosen is found in Proverbs 16:3, “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.” Mrs. Lori Dykstra will be the speaker.
Golf Outing: SCS’s annual golf outing will be held on Friday, June 13, at the Sheldon Country Club. A shot gun start will begin at 1:00 P.M. Be thinking about getting a four-person team together to enter this fun event to raise funds for SCS. Pick up a registration form at the school office, if you need one. If you have any questions, please call Rachel Jansen at 324-3697. Reservations need to be made by Saturday, June 7.
Campbell’s Soup Labels: Everyone is asked to turn in their Campbell’s Soup labels. All labels can be dropped off in the white box on the west side of school by May 23. Thank you.
Crayons Donation: The local Kiwanis Clubs of Northwest Iowa are participating in a drive to collect new and used crayons to ship to Haiti. There are thousands of children attending school in Haiti, and the Kiwanis Club needs even more help meeting the needs of the children. Would you please consider donating your used crayons or buying new crayons for these children in Haiti? There will be donation containers in the hall at Sheldon Christian. Please consider this worthwhile project. Thanks for your help.

Please make note of the dates for the order weeks. We are taking two weeks off after school gets out, then starting up in June. Continue to drop off orders at school by 9:00 A.M., but orders will need to picked up at Brenda Bolkema’s house, (7:00-10:00 A.M.), located at 1330 6th Street, in Sheldon, on Thursday’s. We will however not come in until 9:00 A.M. take advantage of the SCRIP boxes in the back of both churches to submit your orders.

Sports Physicals Schedule: All students that will be participating in sports at Sheldon Christian School next fall are required to have a physical. The information will be included in your report card envelope on June 2nd. The cost is $25 payable the day of the physical. Be sure to have your immunization record filled out and have the form signed by a parent and the student. The physicals will be given on the following dates and places from 6:30-8:00 P.M. No appointments are required:
June 12: Sanford Clinic-Sheldon
June 26: Sanford Clinic-Hartley
July 23: Sanford Clinic-Sanborn
July 30: Sanford Clinic-Sheldon
Sports Physicals: Sports physicals will be given again at the Miedema Chiropractic Clinic. All money collected will be donated to Sheldon Christian School. Physicals can be scheduled anytime during regular office hours. Call 324-9930 to schedule an appointment. The cost will be $25.
